For learning mindfulness in particular, it can be extremely helpful to allow ourselves time away from the busyness of everyday life to grow and deepen our practice and application skills.
We run three different mindfulness-based residential events:
Our weekend retreats offer those, who have completed a 6 or 8 week mindfulness programme, the opportunity to extend and develop their practice. Retreats are held at the beautiful Fintry in Surrey.
Retreats of this nature offer a chance to deliberately step away from our lives, and the usual running around and getting things done, in favour of paying attention from one moment to the next. Our retreats are very simple, but often offer insights and perspectives that are extremely fruitful when we return to our everyday life.

Exploring Mindfulness and Creativity 22-24 September 2017
On this retreat, we will build on the foundation of our mindfulness practice, to explore deeper meditations and reflections that develop our openness to creative thought. The spacious awareness that enables our creative selves to flourish will be sought through sensory immersion in the rich intricacies of Fintry house and garden. The retreat will include periods of guided practice, some periods of silence, and some free time.
The weekend will be jointly led by Alison Armstrong (mindfulness teacher and founder of Present Minds) and Susan Ryland (creativity teacher and artist).
The retreat is open to anyone who has completed a 6 or 8 week mindfulness training (if you have completed the 4 week training and are interested, please get in touch).
Places are limited to 12.
Fee: £210 to share a twin room, or £240 for a single room. The fee covers all food, accommodation, and teaching. A deposit of £90 secures your place. The balance is due by July 14th.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction as a 5-day intensive
This course covers all of the same material as the full 8-week programme, but is completed in 5 days. Courses are run from Monday morning until Friday afternoon, and include a half-day mid-week for rest or leisure activities.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction plus holiday
This course also offers all of the same material as the full 8-week programme, but is completed in 6 days in Spain. Courses are run from Sunday to Friday (with travel on the Saturday before/after), and are located at the stunning Cortijo Romero.
